Reiki is a practice of energy healing with roots in Japan. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word Rei which means "universal life" and Ki which means "energy". The belief is that when you are physically and emotionally well your Ki is strong and flows freely. When a person has a physical illness or is experiencing emotional imbalance the intention of reiki is to restore your energy flow.
Reiki is used as a complement to conventional medicine for those with chronic, serious, or terminal illness. It can also be used to restore imbalance in a person that is facing emotional or mental stress. A session's goal is to ease tension and promote healing of the physical, mental, and emotional source through the practiced movement of energy. It is offered in hospitals and private settings across the country for all ages.
Recipients of Reiki should wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes. The session can be done in a laying or seated position. The session can be either hands-on, with very light touch applied or hands-off. It is the recipients preference.
I provide a guided meditation to aid in promoting a state of relaxation (soft music is optional). Once this is achieved, my hands will be placed in standard reiki positions starting at the head or feet. Some people will feel warmth, tingling, or nothing at all but a deep sense of relaxation. Every experience is unique.
This add-on will include a guided imagery with colors throughout your session based on the chakras that require the most attention
Incorporate crystals into your session in-line with areas that need extra attention or to increase the energy of the session itself. A small bag of select crystals used during your session will be included for you to keep.
No. Reiki is offered as an independent service.
You may provide as much or as little health information as you wish if you are only receiving reiki at this practice. This is collected via a HIPPA compliant EHR and is protected. This information can help me individualize your session, but is not required.
Reiki is an energy based healing and is considered a complementary medicine practice. The receipt of this service does not take the place of routine medical care, recommended therapies or interventions provided by your regular medical provider(s).
