About Us

As the owner of River's Edge I am excited to embark on the next phase of my career.  I worked in the hospital setting caring for patients at bedside and in an out-patient setting for 20 years.

My foundation is in Adult Medicine (ages 13+) with specialty training in Pulmonary/Critical Care and Palliative & Hospice Medicine.  With so much exposure to 'sick care' I started to transition my training for 'well care' with a goal to meet people on their health path to incorporate holistic therapies as a compliment to conventional medicine.

I have completed intensive training in clinical herbal medicine (MS) through the Maryland University of Integrative Health.  This allows me to incorporate custom herbal formulations that can be safely used with prescribed medications from your other healthcare providers.  Along with this training was a focus in lifestyle medicine to include goal setting, nutrition counseling, fitness, and mental wellness.

I hold national board certification in Foot Reflexology from the American Reflexology Certification Board and recently completed training for the hand.  I  studied at the Laura Norman School in New York and plan to also pursue the face program through them in the future. 

I am an Usui Reiki Master and Teacher with certifications in Crystal and Color Reiki.  My passion for reiki stemmed from working with patients in palliative care.  InnerSpirit Reiki & Wellness was my previous  practice where I was fortunate to offer this wonderful therapy to my community.  

Outside of my career pursuits I am a mom of 7 children.  I love to run and cross-country ski.
